Swarm Sentinel
An autonomous security drone for solar parks. It lives in its dock on site, patrols the whole park on its own by day and by night, and reports anyone who gets inside the fence.

Take off
The dock opens and the drone lifts off on its own, no pilot on site.

Patrol
It sweeps the park from 20 m, in colour by day and on the thermal camera by night.

Report
A person inside the fence is flagged with a box on the image. Animals and passers-by are not.

Return
It flies home and lands itself back in the dock, ready for the next patrol.

The hardware
Built on the DJI Matrice 4TD and DJI Dock 3: a drone with colour, thermal and zoom cameras and a laser rangefinder, in a dock that opens, launches it and takes it back.
The brain
Its flight brain is trained in the open. Swarm Sentinel is a task on our benchmark, where independent developers compete to build the best patrol model, scored on every intruder found, every false alarm and every safe landing.
